Introduction

Hello, I'm Santi, an evolutionary biologist passionate about uncovering the genomic foundations of life's diversity. Currently, I'm a Postdoc at Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, working with the Fish Evolution and Genomics Group. My research combines bioinformatics and genomics to explore how species adapt and diversify, shedding light on the mechanisms that drive evolution in the animal kingdom.

Research

My current work revolves around fish evolutionary genomics, where I apply bioinformatics techniques to analyze genomic data and address key evolutionary questions. Some highlights of my past research include understanding the adaptation to high‐altitude habitats in honey bees, uncovering the diversification patterns of Neotropical frogs in the Andes, and revealing high levels of cryptic diversity in the reptiles of the Socotra Archipelago.
